Collision Estimate Review

Most People Read An Estimate. We Read The Accident.

Independent estimate reviews designed to help you understand what your repair estimate says, what it may not say, and what questions may be worth asking.

After more than 40 years in collision repair, we know the visible damage is often only the beginning of the story.

Our job is not to tell you what to do. Our job is to help you understand.

Before You Trust The Estimate, Make Sure You Understand It.

A collision estimate can look official, detailed, and complete. But most vehicle owners have no way to know whether the repair plan fully matches the accident, the vehicle, manufacturer procedures, or the damage that may be hidden behind the panels.

That does not mean every estimate is wrong. It means estimates are technical documents, and vehicle owners deserve help understanding what they are looking at before making important decisions.

That is why EstiVerify exists.

The First Five Things We Check

Every review starts with five simple questions. Those first few minutes often tell us where we need to look deeper.

1. Damaged PanelsDoes the estimate appear to include every damaged panel?
2. Labor RatesAre the rates reasonable for the repair market?
3. Caps & LimitsAre labor or Paint & Materials caps affecting the estimate?
4. Parts PricingAre parts discounts or pricing assumptions being used?
5. Damage MatchDo the repair operations match the damage we can see?

Experience Changes What You See

Most people see damaged parts. Experienced collision professionals look for the path the impact energy traveled through the vehicle.

The Honda That Needed More Than A Wheel

A damaged wheel was listed on the estimate, but the wheel position told a different story. It had been pushed backward and inward. After disassembly, the vehicle needed a strut, knuckle, wheel bearing, lower control arm, and suspension cradle.

Lesson: A damaged part is often only the first clue.

The Mazda That Hid $4,500 In Damage

The front end looked better than it was. Hood gaps and fender alignment suggested the radiator support had moved. After disassembly, the repair added a radiator support, radiator, A/C condenser, and more.

Lesson: Small changes in fit can reveal deeper movement.

The Chevrolet That Became A Total Loss

The front bumper was shifted toward the driver’s side. That led to checking the frame rails past the radiator support. Both rails were buckled in the crumple zones, and replacement costs pushed the vehicle toward total loss.

Lesson: The most important damage is often hidden.

What Great Estimators Notice

The vehicle is trying to tell us where it got hurt. Our job is to listen.

Lines & Gaps

Uneven body gaps, hood flushness, door effort, and misaligned panels can suggest movement underneath.

Wheel & Suspension Clues

Wheel setback, ride height differences, and suspension symmetry can point to deeper damage.

Stress Indicators

Buckles, paint fractures, stress whitening, seam sealer breaks, and witness marks all matter.

Safety Clues

Airbags, seat belt pretensioners, intrusion beam weld points, and safety system clues deserve attention.

How We Review Your Estimate

We do not simply scan the final number. We follow a method designed to compare the accident story, the vehicle evidence, and the repair estimate.

1

We Start With Your Story

Your recollection matters. We want to understand how the accident happened, what concerns you, and what outcome you are hoping for.

2

We Review The Photos

We look for where the energy entered the vehicle, how it may have traveled, and whether the visible damage matches the story.

3

We Analyze The Damage Area Panel By Panel

We review each damaged panel, repair versus replace decisions, R&I operations, related parts, and items that may be easy to overlook.

4

We Consider Manufacturer Procedures

When welded panels, structural components, hybrid systems, calibrations, or safety procedures are involved, manufacturer information may change what should be included.

5

We Explain What Matters

Your report explains observations, possible concerns, questions worth asking, and why those items may matter to your repair decision.
